Apparel + Merchandise

Apparel Design +
Promotional Merchandise + Art Direction

I genuinely enjoy designing promotional pieces that people actually want to wear, use, and keep. These projects give me a chance to have a little more fun with typography, illustration, and storytelling while still staying connected to the organization, event or community they represent.

For First Northern Bank, I’ve created a wide range of promotional merchandise from concept through final artwork. This includes custom hat patch designs for our Agricultural Business team, an updated employee mascot character, “One,” along with a coordinating sticker series, and commemorative apparel for community celebrations such as the Dixon May Fair and parade.

The Dixon designs extended beyond the T-shirts themselves, coordinating with banners, signage and the overall look of the bank’s parade float – an entry I also helped develop that has earned first-place honors multiple times.

The Camp Royal shirt was created pro bono for Rotary District 5160’s annual youth leadership camp. I developed versions for both campers and counselors, creating a design that combined Rotary identity with the outdoor spirit and tradition of the camp.

At Matchbook Wine Company, designing the annual harvest T-shirts was always one of my favorite projects. Each year gave me an opportunity to create something memorable for the vineyard, winemaking and grape-crush crews during one of the busiest, and most important, times of the year. The Kings of Crush design celebrated harvest with a playful wine-industry twist, while the 2020 Vino Banditos shirt brought some much-needed humor and personality to harvest during COVID-19.
